Adding a image to a php file

Can anyone please help me I want to add an image to the languages/english.php file.

I want the image to be on the "landing page" above the newly loaded products so that it is part of my Welcome message.

You me in /languages/english/index.php

 

define('TEXT_MAIN','<img src="http://www.store.com/images/image.gif"> ');

 

I'm not sure if that's what you are talking about... but that is what came to mind.
