mickj Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Hi everybody, I have a couple of sites to mainatin and have come across this problem. All of my products have " add-on" options that I have appearing on the same page as the main product. This means creating all of these add-on attributes in the admin section and then allocating them to each individual product. The number of add-on's can be up to 40, so this process is very long winded and time consuming. Has anybody any idea how to apply these add-on attributes globally? I have used commercesql previously and this allowed one single page,[options.html] with all the attributes entered once, to be assigned to any or all products, thus simplifying the process. Updating a price, for example, would be done once in a single file and as all the products linked to that same file, the prices would be reflected globally. Anyone familiar with commercesql will understand this procedure. Maybe an interesting project for someone. On my own admission, way beyond my capabilites but the Attibutes" area of oscommerce is somewhat cumbersome and is the only area that I find detracts from the whole package, so far as admin of the site is concerned. Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks Mick
