shopping cart does not empty after order

Please can anyone help. I have been building my new website and I have uploaded the Nochex SSL payment processing routine which all appears to work under test mode up until the point when you have made a test purchase.

 

I get confirmation in the database that the transaction has been processed and all nochex status's are correct and even the database shows the cart as empty, then for some reason, when returning to my site, it displays the successful processing of the order page but the shopping cart still shows the item(s) I have just purchased.

 

Only two ways of getting rid of the cart item(s) at the minute and that is to go and delete them or to logoff the site.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
