new products box and easy populate

Hi,

I use the new items box that is displayed on the front page showing new items for X month. Sometimes, I download my data via easypopulate to adjust quantity and price. When I reupload the EP file, the items in the new items box change to the first couple of items listed in my the excel file from easy populate, as if I just added these new items when in fact, they are old. Changing the date in the v_date_added column of easy populate for those items I want to label as "new" has not made a difference. Any suggestions?

I love it when I answer my own questions...thought Id post it in case some one else out there makes the same simple error.

 

1.)Select the v_date_added column of easy populate.

2.)Goto format cells click text

3._enter the date added as XXXX-YY-ZZ 00:00:00

X=year

Y-month

Z=day

 

Worked like a charm.
