Snuggles Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Is it true that hitting the "return to site" button in PayPal will only record the transaction in the shopping cart if the person paying in PayPal is an actual PayPal member? And if they are just using the "Not a member click here" way of paying with PayPal hitting the "return to site" button won't register their order in the shopping cart? Is that the way the IPN works also?

No, not true. And if they are just using the "Not a member click here" way of paying with PayPal hitting the "return to site" button won't register their order in the shopping cart? Also not true. Snuggles Posted April 7, 2005 Author Posted April 7, 2005 Good! Thanks! The reason I was asking was because I found this in PayPal so wasn't sure..... Note: If you have turned on Auto Return and have chosen to turn on PayPal Account Optional for new users, a new user will not be automatically directed back to your website, but will be given the option to return.
