Order not showing up

I have had three orders go through that people have purchased from my store.

I don't get many orders, because my product is a custom product, but I do get orders and they don't show up in my Admin control panel.

The only way that I know that I have gotten an order is because paypal sends me a payment receipt. I then have to look in that customer's profile and call them to find out what they ordered. It's very embarassing to have to call and confirm and also alot of trouble to do so.

Please tell me how to fix this or give me suggestions on what to do...also, I am more than willing to give yall any information that I may have left out...

thanks

It's a common problem, due to customers not finishing off the transaction 'properly', by returning to your site from Paypal. It can be fixed by installing the Paypal IPN contrib. Band aid solutions include adding a master password, to log in as the customer and complete the transaction (using a non instant payment method, since they already paid!), adding recover carts contribution, so you can see what's in their cart and match that to the order total, and setting your paypal profile to autoreturn customers to your site.

If you do a search, there is quite a bit of discussion about this, and supprot for the IPN module.

Good Luck,

Jeremy
