I really did not know how to search this question on the forums. I would like to change from my currect hosting company to another because they are always having problems. I would like to know what do I have to copy from my oscommerce folders and what do I have to change and so on. Any info I can use thanks.

I guess the files from your shop (catalog, admin). Configure your 2 configure files to match the new location of the files, passowrds, servers etc.

If you move the database too. I think that can be done by backing it up and running the .sql in phpmyadmin

*EDIT* - offtopic

the admin panel has a database backup feature in it. Go to tools and you will see it in there. I'm not sure how reliable backups from the OSC-admin panel are (the file manager is garbage) so you might want to do it through phpmyadmin or cPanel if your host is using that. You need to backup the database to a location on your personal computer and then sync your catalog folder on your personal comp with the catalog folder on your server (so that you get all your image files, etc). I've gone this route once when I wanted to duplicate a store (duplicate and then modify instead of starting from scratch) to make a new one, went smoothly other than 1 error in the MySQL code for the backup that was generated by OSC's backup feature (which is why I mentioned other ways of backing up).

yeah, I forgot to mention that part. You'll need to go into the configure and admin configure files and modify the virtual and physical paths listed in there.
