osCommerce

The e-commerce.

I'm confused.....

Snuggles

Recommended Posts

I have the osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 PayPal IPN file installed.

I printed the instructions. It says Configuration Parameters. Is that done inside the file in the php codes or is this done in the MyStore configuration area?

Set Order Status....which one...Default, Delivered, Pending, Processing or Updated?

There is Set PayPal Acknowledged Order Status, Gateway Server, Transaction Type, Page Style, Debug email Address, and Set Order of Display. Also Set Private Key, Your Public Certificate, PayPals Public Certificate, Working Directory. Am I supposed to be doing something with all this? If so, what and where?

Lastly.......what address do I put in PayPal for the IPN to go to? Is that the catalag/ext/modules/payment/paypal_ipn/ipn.php address? I just type that in the paypal box and enable IPN and that's it?

Thanks for any help you can give. I just want my store up and running. ;-)

I configured my paypal in the admin panel. I set the order status to processing to give me sometime to verify, prep and send the order. You have alot of questions. I wish I could help you a bit more. The contribution you have installed gives you alot of configuration options that I am unfamiliar with. Have you tried to search the knowlege base or the payments forums in OSC?

Well, good luck to ya

Thanks for answering. I'm wondering if I set it to processing if it then won't immediately take the item out of the stock count because it isn't 'done' yet.

If I could just get this configuration thing figured out I could start promoting my site. As it is now, I'm afraid someone will buy something and I won't know what it is. And it won't be deleted from my inventory count either.
