add items to catalog

is it possible to add items to the catalog in multiples instead of one at a time? If anyone can answer this question it would be greatly apprectiated.

You might try easypopulate contrib. if you already have your product info in some form. Myself, I usually add my products and attribute right into the db itself, with scripts of SQL commands I assemble using excel for this. It's not too difficult once you get how the db is set up and related to itself.
