The e-commerce.

SQL file does not exist: /install/oscommerce.sql

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

The installation is going fine although I did have to apply a 'GLOBALS' patch for it to commence.

The problem now is, it says connection with Database successful then...

The next screen says:

The file IS there on my server as I can see it and have just uploaded it like the rest of my files.

I have tried CHOMD'ing it to 777 but it still refuses to go any further.

Any ideas? My server and database have been working fine!

Some people get this problem - and seemingly always on Windoze servers.

You've set up your blank database, so just go to the phpMyAdmin link on your web hosting control panel and import the sql file into the blank database.

Then FTP to your website, download the two configure.php files and edit them manually in Notepad and upload again. When you've done this and connected to your website you'll have to delete the install folder and reset the permissions on both configure.php files - but your website will be installed.
