Canadian Shipping tax

Hello again

 

one more question

 

I installed the Canadian Tax Module. It works great I now have two seperate taxes, PST and GST. The only problem is that it does not charge tax on the shipping.

 

So I looked for the shipping tax module (I wish it was in english), which I found and installed.

 

I went to the tax module:

 

Display Tax Groups

true

 

Now the tax is applied to the shipping as well but the total is incorrect.

 

for example:

 

Sub-Total: $12.79CAD

Flat Rate (Best Way): $5.00CAD

GST ( 7% ): $1.25CAD

PST ( 7% ): $1.25CAD

Total: $19.64CAD

 

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Hi Doug,

 

I had this same problem a while ago. I recall that I couldn't find

a fix online so I had to rewrite the orders_total.php function. (and

possibly others stuff)

 

It was a non-trivial fix so I'm not sure I could explain it correctly.

If no one else has a solution, can you post an example with easier

numbers (like 100.00).

 

Also a copy of your orders_total.php and we can see if we can work through it. Feel free to send me a note if you think that would be

easier.
