Full SSL - Certificate, Still Cannot Force Cookies

Hello: I am a ipowerweb user. I have recently had installed a full ssl certificate. For the last 8 hours I've read through forums and still cannot get this to do what it's supposed to do.

1. When I do not force cookies everything appears to be fine and work fine. However, I want to force cookie use.

2. When I do force cookies - on checkout it goes back to the login screen.

Here is a paste of my config. Any help would help me sleep. I'm going crazy. :)

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.supplytattoo.com'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.supplytattoo.com/'); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

define('ENABLE_SSL', true); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '.supplytattoo.com');

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '.supplytattoo.com');

define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/');

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/');

define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/');

define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '');

define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/');

define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'icons/');

define('DIR_WS_INCLUDES', 'includes/');

define('DIR_WS_BOXES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'boxes/');

define('DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'functions/');

define('DIR_WS_CLASSES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'classes/');

define('DIR_WS_MODULES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'modules/');

define('DIR_WS_LANGUAGES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'languages/');

define('DIR_WS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', 'pub/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/supplyta/public_html/');

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/');

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

// define our database connection

define('DB_SERVER', 'localhost'); // eg, localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', 'username');

define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', 'password');

define('DB_DATABASE', 'database);

define('USE_PCONNECT', 'false'); // use persistent connections?

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql'); // leave empty '' for default handler or set to 'mysql'

Change the following to match your HTTP_SERVER and HTTPS_SERVER:

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '.supplytattoo.com');
define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '.supplytattoo.com');

to

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.supplytattoo.com');
define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.supplytattoo.com');

Change:

define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '');

to

define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/');

I'm not sure if forcing cookies is a good idea. In a way, it is the same as rejecting customers/browsers with high security setting and that's a lot of customers. I have yet to see a successful E-Commerce store that uses this option.

Thank you for the quick reply. I just wanted to force cookies because I was trying to use searchwho.com spider simulator. It kept showing the SID in the url of the website after it spidered it. Any other suggestions?

Look at Steve's footer above for Updated spiders.txt. Install the contribution and read the supporting forum.
