Guest
I am developing my site to a true ecommerce experience. This is my first time using osCommerce, so I am not very familiar with every feature available. I do have this question (and it might not even be possible!). Can I automatically manage sale income to different bank accounts? Or setup commissions, etc. Scenario: I sell Digital Scrapbooking items that I create. My own sales are 100% profit. But I've been approached by other artists who want to sell their art work through my site. If I agree to this, I want to be able to take a % or flat fee for every sold item AND/OR give the artist a % / fee for selling their items and keeping the profits. In eithe rcase, I would need a way to manage not only what should be "my" income but also the artsits income. When I review the check out process, I cannot see any way to manage this and I'm hoping someone out there may be familiar with this scenario. Can I 1) either immediately take my commission from other-artists sales and send payments to "My" bank and a payment to "their" bank? 2) track any artist sales different from my own? (reports?) 3) Other suggestions? I could do a lot of manual work tracking these sales, but since I have such little experience with osCommerce, I was wondering if anyone has suggestions /advice for me on how I could set this up. And since I'm starting out fresh, I hope to build my site with this growth concept in place. Thanks!
