Codes in diffrerent languages

Hello,

 

I am trying to install several languages onto OSC.

 

Could someone out there direct me to where I can find out what to put in the

 

Name: English

 

Code: en

 

Directory: English

 

for languages: Italian, Basque, Arabic.....

Thank you Boxtel. Now, I get this though... Can someone help me? I put them in their respective areas.. At least I think I did..

looks like your "directory" field for that language is not defined.

Yes I do. I even have the latest version of it.

 

I found your information handy.

 

I even entered Basque in the name field. That did not work. I then changed it to Euskera, same thing. Did it for all the fields. Did around twelve different possibilities.

well, to define a new language, example spanish:

 

you copy spanish.php (main language file) into /includes/languages/

 

create a new directory called spanish in the same directory

 

then copy all the other language files into that directory

 

then in admin:

 

name = whatever you want it to be on the webpages (spanish, Espanol, etc.)

code = es (official language code)

image = the icon file in the /includes/languages/spanish/images/ direcory

directory = spanish

 

 

make sure the server can read these files and that is all.

I figured it out. I wasn't uploading the files onto the ROOT. Thanks for your help..
