Create 'NEW' faq.php file

Hello,

 

I'm trying to create a link in the column_left.php file that links to a ../faq.php. Now, I'm not a programmer, but have been trudging through this for the past 4 weeks. :huh:

 

However when the link is clicked on, it loads a totally new page outside the website. Is there a trick to get the new page to load in the main body of the page while keeping the header, footer and column(s) left and right in place? I've tried everything I can think of...short of hiring someone....which IS an option!!

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.
