remove the plus + sign at the top of product lists

Hi,

Does anyone know how to remove the plus + sign at the top of product lists?

I've managed to remove all of the rest of the text but I'm still left with the little +

Any ideas? :'(

Thanks

Jane

The + sign relates to the sort order in effect when viewing the list, it also has a - sign for sorting in the other direction with the same criteria (eg product name). Have a look in index.php to find the code generating it, it will have about six cases, and will mention each of the six different sort criteria supported PRODUCTS_NAME, PRODUCTS_PRICE, etc.. If you don't want to give your customers any sort options, you could probably just comment out the code completely. You can do it the same way as the announcement at the top of each php file is commented out ( /* and */ )

ps remember to make a back up your file before you change it!

You'll find it around line 866 of includes/functions/general.php

$sort_suffix = (substr($sortby, 0, 1) == $colnum ? (substr($sortby, 1, 1) == 'a' ? '+' : '-') : '') . '</a>';

Fantastic this worked! I just removed the + and - from the general.php file as you said and it worked perfectly.

Thanks
