My new osC site:

CaddyBug USA Catalog

This will be the catalog for:

Main CaddyBug Site

I've tried to integrate the feel of my main site into this catalog site.

I'm in the process of deciding between PayPal or Echo. It now shows Echo (in test mode) with PayPal graphics.

Features:

- Will Call

- Local Delivery

- Slide Show (see GreenHopper 420R)

Feel free to ad an account and look around.

Thanks!

I assume that you mean the slide show on the product page ?

Yes, that is running Macromedia Flash...

Is that a bad thing ?

RonR

The flash worked fine for me. However, you should be using alpha tweens in your slide show, it would make it look a lot better.

One example that I can show you is at http://www.maidsbymichelle.com/ you can see the flash on the left is just a simple set of images with alpha tweens. Another example is http://fuseboxstudio.com/ click on showcase to bring up the flash. You'll see thumbnails at the bottom for the different images you can view. This flash piece isn't exactly right as it was one of my first, so you will have to click on one of the images, wait for it to load, click on another, wait for that to load, then click back on the first one you clicked, and you will see the alpha tween. I have been meaning to go back an fix this so the tween doesn't start until the image is fully loaded. This is why the image pops in the first time you click on it, then tweens every other time. I just haven't had the time lately.

Ryan, thanks for the examples.

I found this slide show script (somewhere) and I really like it's simplicity and the controls. I guess that it is a bit abrupt in it's presentation and I'll have to look at that.

Nick, thanks for the comments. Yep, gotta change those images ! It's on the list...

You should be able to modify that script just a little bit to get it to do the fades. I guess it's not very important, but just something to think about. I'm certianly not a designer, and probably shouldn't be giving advice on appearences.

Found it! transitionsType: 'Fade'... duh.

Thanks for pointing this out.
