cyberco
Hi, Sorry to be a pain, I'm sure this is simple, but I just can't find any reference to this anywhere! I've just done a new install for a shopping site and it's working great, except that all the prices are zero and it appears to be in a "demonstration-mode"!!!! Can someone point me in the direction of changing to "Live-Mode" so that I can try with real prices, etc. Thanks in Advance, Mark.
♥Vger
If prices are set to zero it usually indicated that you have changed the default currency via the osCommerce control panel, but have failed to make another necessary change. For instance - if you have changed the default currency to UK Pounds then you need also to edit includes/languages/english.php and where you see 'USD' change to 'GBP' and then your prices should display. The code for Euros is 'EUR' and for Canadain Dollars it is 'CA$' Vger
♥toyicebear
Actually its not a demo mode, its just the default setup..... What you have to do is locate the file named index.php in the includes/languages/english folder and change the text to your own. cyberco
Thanks very much, I edited the "english.php" file and it's working again now!!!! It was a conflict between default currency and the setting in english.php Thanks once again - I would have never realised this without your help. All the best. Mark.
