Bold Text once clicked

Hi, how can I make text links bold once they are clicked kind of like how it is in the categories box.

 

I searched through categoris.php boxes.php and stylesheet.css and can't seem to find the code that does this.

in the stylesheet you can set the font for a:visited links. the category box does something different, it puts the link between <b></b> if the cPath in the url equals the one in the link. Basically saying "you are here".

So how can I duplicate what the categories box does elsewhere on the page without using the A class?
