Linking flash button to category pages

Hi,

I am using a flash header for my website and i also use sts_template to customize my os. I am trying to change a button "DVDs" in the flash header to go to DVDs category page, just like it does when you click on DVD link under category box. I want to do the same with "CDs" button and eventualy get rid category box at all.

 

Also the same question is for incorporating search box into an existing flash UI for search.

hi,

 

you need to change the flash file to point to the dvd category of oscommerce - u can see the link while clicking in that category and then change the flash source file to point into that.

 

also u need to put the input keywords to it for the search box to work. u can check the oscommerce search box and put the same input field names to it

I have made "DVDs" and "CDs" buttons to work correctly, but search box is more confusing. It uses dynamically created url which depends on keyword. I am not sure i understand how to link that to the button. I am not sure what you mean by "put the input keywords to it".
