OsCommerce Beginner

Hi -

 

Please accept my apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, I did a search but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

 

Anyway, just installed OsCommerce on my site and am in the process of setting up SSL to enable secure transactions. One question I had was, when it comes to processing credit card transactions through OsCommerce, do I have to use one of the payment gateway options like Paypal? is there another way to do this or this the best way?

There is no limit of choice, only your preference. If you want to use a Card you'll need

a business account direct with a Card issuing company, which usually means you must be an incorporated company. If your a small private business PayPal might be your only choice.
