netstep Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 (edited) I'm wondering if there is a way to make a file I can execute that will set up all the CHMOD permissions for me automatically. My site is hosted by someone else running Cpanel so I don't think I have command line access...unless I'm not looking in the right place. For example, with the Infobox Skin Manager there are 11 folders that need to be 777. It would be nice if I didn't have to change the file permissions on every folder/file one at a time. ....I just found http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,40 I'm going to try it right now. netstep Posted March 26, 2005 Author Posted March 26, 2005 Good news/Bad news. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,40 is very cool. But...I haven't figured out how to run it successfully and I haven't found another forum for it yet. It looks right, but when I try to execute an operation it says "permission denied". I'm trying to figure it out, but I'm really short on time. I cooked up some better instructions and organised it a bit. When I get it figured out, I'll post the the contribution update for ye-all.
