Taxidermist Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Although i`ve checked the contributions, i didnt notice anything that will allow me to accept paymets by credit cards of Diners Club and Discover. I think some AmEx cards are not accepted neither. Is there an easy way to fix this ? Basically, by not accepting those cards, shops lose customers. I can provide the algorithms for those cards numbers and provide generated numbers for tests to anyone who would like to fix this (if there is no known fix of course).
♥Vger Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 American Express and Diners Club are not generally accepted online because they are Charge Cards and not Debit or Credit Cards. However, PayPal does accept both AmEx and Discover. Very few, if any, payment processors will handle Diners Club International cards. Vger
bglkk Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Depends on your gateway, does it not? Mine claims to support "Visa?, MasterCard?, Discover?, American Express?, Diner's Club? and JCB?" --although I've never actually had an order with JCB... Their fine print says: "Some of the card types require that you have a separate account with the card provider. If you are unsure or would like to change the credit card types that you accept, please check with your processor's Merchant Services department." "Buy the ticket, take the ride..." -HST
Taxidermist Posted March 26, 2005 Author Posted March 26, 2005 I see. Looks like i will need some gateway to process them online.. currently i am working with a real store that takes care of credit cards issues... What are the best payment systems among those with modules for OSC ? Are there free payment systems ? So far i`ve seen only systems that charge way too much than small stores can allow.
