Need some feedback on how well this site is viewed in other browsers and how fast it is.  I have only tested in IE and Netscape.

Any feedbacks, ideas, etc. is appreciated.

I have spent all week re-designing the default osCommerce layout and integrating it into the old Web site.

site seems to work fine with Firefox.... however there is a certificate warning when first hitting the site...

The problem with the certificate is that Starfield Technologies (the issuer) is not in the list of companies in the Trusted Root Certificate Store of most browsers. But even if it was you have an http link (to Colonial Graphics Group) in the footer, and this will yield a 'secure and non-secure items' error message.

Also, by running all the site in https you will slow down the page loading (ssl pages have to be encrypted before delivery) and may cause conflicts with osC coding which defines some pages as SSL and others as NONSSL.

Opera shows no padlock at all for the site on https pages, haven't checked it on the Mac (Safari browser). Both Mozilla and Firefox show the warning message about the cert not being trusted.

Great! Just the things I wanted to know. I'll make the main entry page http:// and let the SSL pages happen as osC sees fit. I have a copy in httpdocs and httpsdocs for just such an occassion. I'm hoping this will fix the problems you're talking about.

Image is missing in SLANG page.

Perhaps instead of Reviews, Comments would be suitable as the infobox header.

Great ideas! I have several books added to her catalog now so I think I will leave the title Reviews for now since it will be mainly the books they are reviewing. If that gets confusing later, I might change it.

Thanks so much again,

Angel
