Guest Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Questions: 1) How do I change the page title--where it says "OsCommerce" in the web browser? I'm not sure which file to edit. 2) I'm looking for a simple affiliate program. I've checked most of the old postings on this topic, but most involve Shareasale. I don't think I want to use Shareasale...I need something more basic. Basically, when someone places an order at my store, I want them to be able to choose from a list of charities...and I will donate a portion of the profit to the charity they choose. Paypal doesn't have to actually pay them automatically with the transaction (I can cut a check manually every quarter). I am mainly looking for something that will allow a user do this, and I want to be notified of who they have chosen along with the order. Any ideas on the best/easiest way to do this? THANKS!

THANKS! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :P Hi there! I'm no genius and I don't know anything about code or programing, in fact I'm working on my first website. But...here's an idea that may do what you need in the interim. Set-up a pull down of charity options from the admin pannel on a per item basis, the same as you would for size and color options. It's a cheap fix without code. OR... you could add a comment text in your check out pages that would let your customer name their charity of choice by entering it into their comments. I hope this helps for the time being! :blush: GiftsYouWantToKeep.com We help each other, to help ourselves! Aloha Allison! Guest Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 I'm not an affiliate master so here is the answer to number 1. You can edit this code in catalog/includes/languages/english.php define('TITLE', 'osCommerce');
♥toyicebear Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 If you change the text in this one, it will do what you want. It creates a dropdown at checkout, orginaly asking how the cutomer did hear about ur site, just change the text in the included text files and there u have it. (The options shown in the dropdown can be changed in the admin.)
