The e-commerce.

What Next?

Recommended Posts

I just signed up with Netfirms and downloaded osCommerce. It was downloaded directly into my temporary website:

What do I do next to edit the website? I have read other posts and it sounds like the website has been downloaded to others' computers. Mine appears to only be on the Netfirms server.

Dave, you will have to use the admin area to start with setting up the store configuration. Editing the pages, adding contributions and so on will need to be done via FTP program to download the pages you need to work on and upload the changes.

Admin should be at

Hi Wendy,

Thanks for the quick response. I tried to go to that site and I got an error message:

<<The page you have requested requires your browser to support cookies.

I checked my security settings and cookies are accepted. Any idea of what the problem could be?

gathered info from your webhost's website--see step 7:

1. Login to the Members Control Panel at http://www.netfirms.com/members

2. Click on the Site Tools tab.

3. Click the Commerce Pro link.

4. Click the [Add a store] link located on the page.

5. Type the directory you wish to install the store to.

6. Click Proceed.

7. Once successfully created, you will see a URL for your store catalog. To access the Administration Panel to configure your store, please click the Commerce Pro link (from the side bar) and click the [Admin] link.

Please click Installing Netfirms Commerce Pro shopping cart to watch a demo on how to install Netfirms Commerce Pro shopping cart.
