Multiple Log-ins

When I go to the administration panel there is a dialogue box to enter my username and password, I type them and enter them, and then it asks me again. I type the same ones again and then I'm directed to the admin area. But then when I click on an area to administrate it, I'm asked again for the login information. Does anyone know where I might look to remove about two of those redundant logins? Maybe someone has had experience with this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In your admin/includes/configure.php file make sure that your http_server and http_catalog_server address is the same as for your https_server address. This will put all of 'admin' behind ssl, and should remove the need for multiple logins.

Thanks *so* much!!!!!

This removed the 3rd login!!!!!! There's still two left though, so that makes me think that the remaining may be caused by something else.

I know this sounds like a dumb question but I was wondering if maybe I've accidentally duplicated the code that calls the log-in. Where would I look to see, and what should it look like?

If you have PWD protected your directory by a .htaccess file (which your control panel will have created for you if you did it though there), it will do this.

Probably something to do with sub-directory access - I think there's probably a directive you can use in the .htaccess file to prevent this. Don't know what it is off-hand though.
