Guest
Hi, I'm building an oscommerce store for a client that at this time does not want to use the e-commerce capabilities - i.e. they want to use the store as a product catalog, and not to enable the cart or checkout functions.... I'll be explaining this to their customers on the main page. Hopefully at some point he will want to enable this and allow the full functionality through. At the moment he only takes orders over the phone or walk-in buyers to the physical shop. (I did ask this question on this forum about 18 months ago the last time they wanted to do this, but can't remember or find the responses - or indeed my forum id). Some of the great suggestions talked about different payment options that would allow the cart to remain - just only allow it to be used for phone or walk-in orders (in which case how do I handle stock levels). My previous stores have all been pretty vanilla so I'm a relative newbie...and can't find an answer in the knowledge base or forums... I'm going to use STS to help me configure the UI. So I know I can remove the cart and checkout icons. What I really need to do is remove any "add to cart" functionality from the product pages. All help is much appreciated. Mike. ♥Vger
You could take a look at this Contribution: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...arch,remove+buy Then all you have to do is to remove the Login and Create Account links, and My Account, Shopping Cart and Checkout links from the header.
