how do i put a space between the categories?

Hey all,

 

I can't seem to put a blank line between the categories.... they are too cluttered with my current stylesheet.

 

I tried editing catalog/includes/boxes/categories.php and changing line20:

 

from:

$categories_string .= '<a href="';

to

$categories_string .= '<br><br><a href="';

 

however it doesn't actually put the space in until you click on one of the categories and even then it looks horrible....

 

any ideas on how to put a blank line between the categories?
