danyel27
The business I work for would like to use OS Commerce to sell prints of photographs we take. I can't figure out how to password protect some albums (which would be a group of photos) so that they can only be accessed, ordered, bought, etc by someone who has the password. In other words, if we take some girl's senior pictures, we don't want everyone to see them, only the people she gives the password to. Does anyone know how to do that? Thanks in advance for your help!
Jeremy at oddly enough
You could use htaccess to protect folders inside the images folder. This is often the method used to add password protection to the admin folder for sites. You can do a search for more information on htaccess. Or you could set up a smartor gallery (based on phpbb2), which includes access limiting features, along with you osc site. If you want to see what this might look like check out my site (link is in my info), it has a bb and gallery, though the gallery is wide open now, the user galleries could be protected.
