Hello all. Why is it that I cannot FTP images into the images directoy and then use them in oscommerce. I have tried changing permissions and all sorts but I cannot delete anything in images or ftp into it. The only way I have found is to use the file manager within oscommerce which is very boring because you can only upload a few images at a time or one by one when you upload an image from the product page.

is there any way of getting round this as I also want to delete the demo images etc. but am not allowed access to the images directory like I said even if I change the permissions.

Thanks.

When you create your categories and products with pictures with osC you insert the name into the relevant database table. You also upload the image to the relevant directory.

When you FTP - you are not creating the database names - hence no images showing.

As to why you are "not allowed " to access the images directory - need more info to help on that one
