Multiple Purchase, different prices ?

Hi,

How do we set up Multiple purchases of items with different prices..

for example:

Widget X 1 @ $5

Widget X 10 @ $4.50

Widget X 100 @ $3.75

we realise we could just make them as seperate items...

single widgets 10 widgets or 100 widgets :'(

however.... is there a way of setting... a drop down menu or similar...

that will show discounted prices for quantities? B)

Only set up our shop yesterday.... great! :)

Yes, we still cant find this feature.... any ideas? :)

It must be a feature many people want... to be able to sell at a discount if you buy 10 or 100 of something? B)

You can do this using attributes and options.

In admin panel, catalog, product attributes.

Make a Quantity option, Make option values of 5, 10, 100, etc.

Then assign the options, and option values to the products, and set the price adjustment, (based off the default price).

I find the admin interface very clumsy for this, but you can get the idea of how it works by doing a few. I looked at the database after I did a few, worked out where all the iformation went, and how it's related, and now when I have to add or edit attributes and options, I write and run SQL scripts on the database directly. Ps make sure you can get the weight adjusted by your attributes too if it affects shipping.
