SSL setup

Ok, I've searched these forums for half an hour trying to figure out how to integrate my new SSL certificate.

I have a "Starter SSL" that I bought from my host, and the only thing I've found searching is along the lines of :

"contact your host, they know what to do."

Well, no, they don't. All they do is charge me twenty-five bucks for the "StarterSSL" certificate and its MY job to find out how to use it.

I mean, it shouldn't be difficult, should it? Just add a url to your cert. somewhere in your store, maybe?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I installed this store using fantastico under cpanel.

I realize that fantastico gives you the ability to enter the SSL certificate upon installation, but when I installed it, I did not have the certificate.

I WOULD reinstall, but I have since paid programmers to install poorly documented contribs.

So I HAVE to figure out how to setup the certificate manually.

Did they install the cert for you? Check in your web hosting control panel under SSL and see if you can see rows of text where the ssl text should be. If it's there then they installed it.

To get osCommerce to work in ssl then you need to set enable_ssl to 'true' in both of your configure.php files, and enter the https server address e.g. https://www.yourdomain.com
