search enhancement

Hi all,

 

i was looking to add a feature to the search.

This is what i would like, for each product there is a tag table added, in this table you can add keywords that apply to the product without having to put it in the description (where you don't want it).

 

Then the search in oscommerce could search on the keyword also.

 

fex: product: a tshirt with text "g0t r00t?"

tags to be added: geek, information technology, root

 

so if one types in the search "root", he should see the tshirt listed.

 

before i start hacking osCommerce, i wanted to check whether this was allready added by someone else.

Not sure if that exact one has been done but you might want to check the contributions as there have been some search enhancements done already and you might be able to find one that is close even if not exactly what you want.
