Sometimes has a special offer regarding some services (not all), therefore there is the need from admin part, not just enter the amount ie Special ?6.00 and the expary date, but to have Offer detail too. If so the way I do this is to create the product but instead of adding it to a category I put it in Top. It will not show up in your store as products listed in Top do not show up in the catalog but you will be able to add it to your specials box so the customers can see it there. When in Admin/Catalog/Specials/New Products The SPECIAL PAGE gives the option to: Poduct: Special Price: Expiry Date: What is needed Special offer detail: In this field, one can enter anything regarding the special offer that will show or deleted with the special offer option Now, my question would be: What is the best way to add this field and where? Salvo Posted March 9, 2005 Author Share Posted March 9, 2005 Hi, I have checked the database structure and in actual fact the specials has a table (I didn't rimember), I will add a text field there for details about the special offer. I am not quite sure why nobody needs to specify a little extra info that will show with the special price. Maybe others are using the description field for it but I feel that an extra text field in the specils table is needed. Thanks Hope to make it as a contribution when I have done it.
