Making Attributes per item HELP!!!!!!!!

Somebody please help me! I gotta get this store up and going.

 

I have thousands of items that fit a limited number of applications. So I end up with (product) and then the actual item model # / application is selected thru attributes. So I have literally thousands of "model 12345 fits blah blah blah" in the attributes column.

 

Is there any way to modify oscommerce so that "table product_options_values" only shows results based on the "product_options" choice???

 

ie... if you pick color. you only get the choices that relate to color

 

if you pick size, you only get the choices that relate to size.

 

This would allow me to use attribute #1 to pick the item I am selling, and then attribute # 2 would give options related to #1

Personally , I think you should rephrase the question with real world examples from your store and post a link so people can look and see what it is you are talking about.
