Guest
I have searched through the forums but cannot find a solution that will suit me. Most of the items in my shop are physical items with a weight. I also have 2 or 3 which are either downloads, or I email codes to a customer once I receive payment. I have these entered as zero weight, but there is still a delivery charge at the end. I assume this is because I have a tare weight. The only problem is, some of my goods are very light. My tare could be 100grams and the product is 70grams, so I cannot do away with the tare. Has anybody got any ideas for me please?

Rob123
Here's an idea... You can drop your tare weight to zero and increase the weight of your physical products to something a little higher. Just my 2 cents, Robert Edited March 2, 2005 by Rob123
Guest
Here's an idea...You can drop your tare weight to zero and increase the weight of your physical products to something a little higher. Just my 2 cents, Robert <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for the reply Robert I thought of that already, but the problem is that the tare is so close to the actual weight of some items, that if i drop it to zero, i make a 100gram item 200 grams which is fine, but if a customer buys 5 of them, they pay 1 kilogram shipping instead of half a kilogram.....or buy 10 makes 2kg instead of 1kg etc etc... (and the products are the type, where there is a high possibility of a customer ordering multiples) I thought maybe there was just a dead simple way which was there but i had not spotted, where you mark a download or similiar product as having absolutely NO shipping charge? kingbono
What does the tare weight do? I just want to offer free shipping for a physical product, so I need to collect the shipping info. Some products are free shipping and others are not. I am using the credit class with 0 weight for the free shipping, but I need that address page. Free shipping by product line would probably work best for me. Any one know of anything out there or anything in the works? At this point I would be willing to pay someone for their time.
