phonebee
I have a customer that was able to create an account. He logged in and entered an item into the shopping cart. He goes to the checkout page and he is asked to log-in again. As he attempts to log-in again and tries to go to the checkout page, he again gets ask to login. This is an endless cycle that he is going through. no matter what he does, it keeps asking him for a login. [i myself and a few others have been able to easily checkout with no problems.] I'm guessing it has something to do with the "sessions". Does anyone know what can be causing the problems? Thank-you
stevel
Yes, it does have something to do with sessions. I would guess that your customer has his browser set to reject cookies and you have your store configured in a way that makes it not work properly in such cases. Care to provide a link to your store so we can look? stevel
I can't reproduce a problem, with or without cookies. Do you have your web access log showing this customer's entries? If so, send them to me in a PM. Also, do you have Prevent Spider Sessions true in admin? What spiders.txt are you using? Any URL rewriting in .htaccess? phonebee
[first off: that same customer was able to log in and make a purchase] [i'm guessing it's an user error, not an OSC error *crossing-fingers*] [but I would like to really make sure it's not an OSC error] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I too could not recreate the problem no matter what setting I tried. Neither could couple other testers. I do have Prevent Spider Sessions to "true". stevel
From the evidence so far, your osCommerce store is fine. I do suggest, though, that you keep up to date on the spiders.txt, as I've released several updates since the one you have. Subscribing to the announcements topic is a good way to do that.
