pwspirit
I followed the tutorial to the letter, with one exception: I created the catalog directory as follows: .../ecom/catalog. I get the following message when I try to access the catalog as a user would: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'pwspirit3@localhost' (Using password: NO) in /var/www/html/ecom/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So what did I miss? pwspirit
When I go to view the storefront, don't I use the /catalog directory? There should be no login required unless I am going into the configuration, which works fine. Right?

So Before you installed the OScommerce did you do this 1. Creat a blank DB in MySQL 2. Gave the DB user the rights to access this database. And How did the installtion go or when do you get this error

At the end of the tutorial, it says to go to yourdomain.com/catalog to view the store. I get this message when I go to the directory (mine is whitewolfwebs.com/ecom/catalog). pwspirit
Insted of whitewolfwebs.com/ecom/catalog try this link whitewolfwebs.com/ecom/catalog/index.php <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That didn't do the trick either. I am going to re-install to be sure I didn't miss anything else. Thanks for the help.
