Hello,

 

I have OSC installed in

/hsphere/local/home/mysite.com/catalog

 

How can I make mysite.com address go directly to catalog/index?

 

For the same purpose, I'd like the first link in the breadcrumbs (currently "Top" ) to be catalog/index, not mysite.com/index.

you have two choices

 

in www.mysite.com/index.php forward to www.mysite.com/catalog/index.php

but apparently google doesn't like redirects (certain redirects particularly meta refreshes can get you effecivly banned from google) and so i would recommend moving the content out of catalog and into the root of your webserver. You then need to go into configure.php and edit the paths so that the paths are right and they don't contain /catalog/. this will have to be done in the admin configure.php.

Your best option is to uninstall it and reinstall it in the root, remembering to upload the contents of the catalog folder - NOT the catalog folder !!

Hi folks, thanks for your suggestions.

 

I'm installing OSC from the H-Sphere CP, wich won't let me chose a different directory. So, can I simply MOVE the catalog files (all of them, including admin folder, etc), and then adjust the paths?
