Guest
Hi, I'm looking for a way to display checkout items such that they are displayed as individual entries instead of being lumped together. Is there a way to do so? Say for example, using the current online demonstration Oscommerce, 1)I buy 1 units of "Gmatrox video card", 2)Proceed to checkout, 3)Click back and proceed to buy 1 more unit of "Gmatrox", 4)Shoppin cart displays 1 line of entry of product "Gmatrox" with qty= 2. final screen is --------------------------------------------------- Num Product QTY Price 1) Gmatrox 2 $1.99 Total etc... ---------------------------------------------------- which is wat i don't want. What I want it to display is: 1)I buy 1 units of "Gmatrox video card", 2)Proceed to checkout, 3)Click back and proceed to buy 1 more unit of "Gmatrox", 4)Shoppin cart displays 2 lines of entries of product "Gmatrox" with qty= 1. final screen is --------------------------------------------------- Num Product QTY Price 1) Gmatrox 1 $1.99 2) Gmatrox 1 $1.99 Total: $etc... ----------------------------------------------------
Wendy James
Easiest way I can think of is to just enter the product twice with two different product models. Like GmatroxA GmatroxB or whatever. Would be a pain if you had a ton of products though and I think you would have to edit the product page to not show the product model# and any other pages that it appears so it didn't confuse customers. Hope someone else has a better idea. Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
