Uptech
I already have over 1000 products on my site, and i just found out about the easy populate contrib. I was wondering if i used the easypopulate to add more products, would i have to input all my old products into easy populate all over again or does it automatically get all my products that i already have and then i can just add my new ones? Guest
you have to have categories and model #'s for ep to work. make sure you have them setup. then download your data, add to it.
TCwho
Im in the same situation. I have added model numerbs to all the products, but noticed that the only file EP will export is in .txt format. How do you make it, where it can export into excel file? Drop_Shadow How Did You Hear About Us Email HTML Order Link ---- GMT -5:

TCwho
so I should be able to do the reverse right? Here is situation. client never had excel or any sheet other than handwritten inventory. So I have been adding products by hand. Now, client wants to open another shop(wholesale-same products as site1), since I have already added products at site1. I have installed EP, add model numbers... ..and the idea was to export neccessary file ... ...take exported file..and insert into excel to start adding new products... ....take updated exported file that I worked in excel and upload that to site2... Sorry for asking...Normally I just do it and see what happens...hahahahah Drop_Shadow How Did You Hear About Us Email HTML Order Link ---- GMT -5:

Guest
Surely there is a much simpler way for this customer - install the new site, backup the old site and restore the back to the new site, then all you have to do is go through the products with quick price update and the job is done.
