scotch33 Posted February 26, 2005 Share Posted February 26, 2005 Hi - sorry - i know this gets asked a lot but i haven't found an answer that is solving my problem - in the shop i am building the downloads link doesn't appear at the end of the process. I have followed instuctions found here - heres what i have done... enabled download - true by redirect - true xp delay - 7 max downloads - 5 (what does this one mean? - does that stop the ability to download after five times? is that for the same customer or everyone - in which case how do i set it to unlimited? ok in attributes - i have one product set with the filename - all i did was go in and place the filename in the box with a seven day delay and the 5 max download coung(again what does that mean?) and saved. didn't add any other attributes - assumed that the attribute that everyone talks about is simply adding the file to the product - is this where i have gone wrong? uploaded the test product to downloads which is in its original place within the os directory structure. checked includes.php and its pointing in the write place. Changed chmod on pub and download accordingly as instructed. ok - i am testing in credit card payment mode with the test card No - it goes through to the standard 'your goods will be shipped blah de blah...' and there is no product to download. ♥Vger Posted February 26, 2005 Share Posted February 26, 2005 Just check a few things - I'm no expert on downloads. Make sure that the weight of the downloadable product is set to zero. When you added the product to the catalog, after enabling downloads, you should have found a product attribute called 'download' and this needed to be applied to the product.
