Changing "MAIN_TEXT" Define......

Hi, I am very new to oscommerce. I have it installed fine with no apparent problems apart from 1. I don't seem to be able to edit the define () in /includes/languages/english/index.php:

 

define('TEXT_MAIN', '');

 

I am trying to add html between the single quotes like this:

But I get this error message:

Can anyone help out at all??

take a look thru the rest and fix, an apostrophe needs to be preceeded with a \
