I am using the Vstore configuration, which is based on some version of this oscommerce software. My supplier (who will be dropshipping for me) sells guitars, and ships them by UPS ground. When he ships a guitar, UPS includes an oversize charge. This is approx $10.00. I obviously have to include this same charge, and have to mirror what my supplier is charging. When a customer buys a guitar from me, how can I get the UPS shipping module (that is used in the Vstore) to include this oversize charge and duplicate what my supplier is charging ? Can anyone help me out and show me how to do this ? Is it even possible to do this with the UPS shipping module included in this store ? Jan Zonjee Posted February 24, 2005 Share Posted February 24, 2005 To find out what triggers an oversize package you have to consult the UPS website. With the standard UPS module you cannot have UPS quote you for an oversize package. With the UPSXML contribution for osC it can be done in principle. To do it, you have to rewrite some of the code and you have to install the dimensions modification (but with the right changes, you would only need to give dimensions for those guitars, provided you can ship them in their own box and you know the dimensions of it). If so, couldn't you build it in there?
