Html shows as plain text

I would like to show a link in my product discription, fro example a link to yahoo

 

i type the code

<a href="http://www.yahoo.com" target="_blank">Yahoo</a>

 

when i go to the product page i see

 

:'(

 

_a href="http://www.yahoo.com" target="_blank"_Yahoo_/a_

 

this is the same for any html formatted text in the product discription?

 

any ideas as to why this is happening?

Interesting. I put links in my product descriptions all the time and this doesn't happen. Something is changing the < and > characters to underscore. I don't know what would do that.
