Prices appear in admin, but not catalog.

Please can somone tell me how to make the prices of my products appear on the real catalogue???

 

I changed the 0 as suggested and the list now reads as follows:

 

Display Product Image 1

Display Product Manufaturer Name 0

Display Product Model 0

Display Product Name 2

Display Product Price 3

Display Product Quantity 4

Display Product Weight 0

Display Buy Now column 5

 

But still no price appears on the real catalogue?? Any ideas?

 

Someone offered the following....

 

If you can see the price in your 'admin' section, but just see a zero on your website then this is what has probably happened. If you have changed your default currency in your 'admin' control panel, then you need to go to includes/languages/english.php and look for 'USD' - this is the three letter currency code for US Dollars. You need to change this to the three letter symbol for your new default currency e.g. 'EUR' for Euro or 'GBP' for UK Pounds.

 

Download the above file, take a backup (just in case) edit the downloaded file in a plain text editor like Notepad, and then upload again. If anything goes wrong you can restore from the backup you made.

I went into the includes/languages/english.php looked for 'USD' and changed it to 'GBP'. However, when I checked my online catalog to see if it had made any effect, it showed only a blank page rather than the catalog.

 

I uploaded the original english.php file from a copy of osCommerce that I downloaded on my hard drive to replace the one I had messed with and everything is back as it was - including the problem of the everything being free!

 

Any ideas anyone???

The penny suddenly, clicked home.

 

I had this problem at one stage. Your product_info.php file is fine It's to do with your admin settings.

 

YOu have changed the description of your currency but you have probably also changed the code for sterling. It should be GBP - otherwise it does not recognise your currency selectiion and responds with ----- you guessed it NO PRICE !!!

 

Bit of advice. Set up a default copy of oscommerce on your testing server for reference. It comes in handy.

Sorry for abandoning you, I had promised to bring the kids to the circus that had come to town.

 

 

Have you set exchange rates - gbp should have a value of 1.0000000

Ooooo Circus, haven't been to one of those for years! Hope it was fun!

 

I set gbp to 1.0000000 and then usd to 1.91102 (used XE.com for current rate) Then I set usd to default and the prices appeared in dollars and also in pounds when I changed the currency using the 'currencies' drop down on the actual site.

 

However, once I changed the default to GBP, it disappeared again???

OK by the sounds of it your shop is probably set for a US region.

 

In configuration - my store make sure your shop country is set for the UK, and you should probably set the zone as well.

 

Why if GBP is your main currency did you set an exchange rate ? If GBP is your main / default currency then this should be set to 1.00. All other currencies are set from this.

Hi Philip, don't ask me why but I refreshed my browser and my prices are appearing in GBP???
