Offering extras before checkout

i want to offer my customer's extra accessorries before they checkout. But I'd like to offer them different things depending on what they purchase.

 

For example, if they order a printer, i'd like to offer them the appropriate cable and the appropriate paper that would work with that paper.

 

Any ideas on if this is possible?
