Admin Username and Password Page

I installed Oscommerce on my website and I do not get a login and password page when I go to the admin area.  What could cause this?  I can just access the admin area like a regular web page

You will need to protect the /catalog/admin folder (or where ever your admin folder is on your server) with .htaccess. You should be able to do this through your control pannel of your webhost.

Hello all,

I need to change user name and password for admin area. I tried to

do this from Cpanel (change password) and was not able to do that.

(I can easily change Cpanel Password). :D

I check .htaccess. and .htaccess1. and not knowing what I'm looking for,

They look all Greek to me! Like this one " xxxxxxPnMlDPCmcETYs".

I need step by step instruction, and no snobbish remark please. :(

Thanks for your help.

OH Boy!!! Not again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
