ashleylr Posted February 18, 2005 Share Posted February 18, 2005 when building my categories, I have quite an extensive category tree with a number of sub "trees". The top category in each "tree" does not have any products in it, it just opens up into the list of available options to choose from. from there someone selects the option they would like and are then taken to a page displaying products. what I want to be able to do is when someone clicks on the top product category, that they are immediately taken to the first available page in that tree that lists products. they can always use the menu on the left to change options if they so choose. to show an example if I am not explaining this well, when someone clicks here: http://momentsofelegance.com/catalog/weddi...avors-c-26.html, rather than being taken to a page with some ugly text and options to choose from, I want them to be taken directly to the first option in that category tree, http://momentsofelegance.com/catalog/weddi...rs-c-26_66.html. there are menus that open up on the left so I don't think it is necessary to take them to the page where they then have to click down through further options before seeing products. anyone know how I can do this?
